Perimembranous VSD with Overriding Aorta

Ultrasound Fetal Well Being – Patient came for the first time to our centre at 29 weeks gestation.

Perimembranous ventricular septal defect (VSD) with overriding aorta is a congenital cardiac anomaly. It involves a defect in the membranous part of the interventricular septum along with partial overriding of the aorta over both ventricles.

Early recognition is important for appropriate parental counseling, delivery planning, and postnatal cardiac care.
