Duodenal malignancy (early detection)

Duodenal malignancies are uncommon and often present with non-specific symptoms, making early diagnosis challenging.

In this case, a careful ultrasound examination performed for upper abdominal complaints revealed focal wall thickening in the duodenal region with altered echotexture, raising concern for a possible malignant lesion.

Although ultrasound is not the primary modality for evaluating duodenal tumors, it can serve as an important initial screening tool, prompting timely further assessment with CT or endoscopy.

This case highlights the value of meticulous scanning and maintaining a high index of suspicion, as early detection can significantly improve patient outcomes.
